Анотація
The article provides a theoretical analysis of studies of features of time perception by children of different ages. The development of the perception of time by a child is considered as a long and complicated process, which is connected with the formation and functioning of the system of subjective display of metric properties of time, topological properties of time and orientation in time. The peculiarities of the perception of time by infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children are highlighted. It has been found that the mastering of different properties of time by children is asynchronous. It is suggested to take into account the difference between implicit and explicit processing of time information considering studies of the development of the temporal perception of a child, which should be reflected in the conclusions about the peculiarities of the perception of time by children of different ages. The conclusion is made about the need to revise the statement about the lack of infants’ ability to process information about time, which is traditional for the domestic psychology. As a result of the generalization and systematization of the problems of studies of the specificity of time perception by a child, it was found that the vast majority of proceedings is devoted to the study of the development of temporal perception of preschoolers and school-aged children. Toddlers and especially infants are far less likely to attract the attention of scientists. With regard to the study of the different aspects of time perception, the most studied are the features of perception of children’s metric properties of time, and the least is specificity of the time perspective of children (especially preschoolers). The diversity and ambiguity of the results obtained in the experiments are emphasized. The most controversial is the data regarding the time perspective of preschoolers and the age at which the child’s ideas about the topological properties of time are formed. The factors that can cause inconsistencies in the results of studies of the specificity of time perception by children of different ages are presented. The conclusion is made about the prospect of integration of different experimental data on the peculiarities of the time perception by children of different ages and the search for the psychological and brain mechanisms behind them.
У статті здійснено теоретичний аналіз досліджень особливостей сприйняття часу дітьми різного віку. Розвиток сприйняття часу дитиною розглядається як тривалий і складний процес, який пов’язаний із формуванням та функціонуванням системи суб’єктивного відображення метричних властивостей часу, топологічних властивостей часу й орієнтуванням у часі. Висвітлено особливості сприйняття часу немовлятами, дітьми раннього віку, дошкільниками
та молодшими школярами. З’ясовано, що освоєння дітьми різних властивостей часу має асинхронний характер. Запропоновано враховувати відмінність між неявною та явною обробкою інформації про час при обговоренні досліджень розвитку часової перцепції дитини, що має бути відображене у висновках щодо особливостей сприйняття часу дітьми різного віку. Зроблено висновок про необхідність перегляду твердження про відсутність у немовлят здатності обробляти інформацію про час, яке є традиційним для вітчизняної психології. Наголошено на різноманітності та неоднозначності отриманих в експериментах результатів. Наведено чинники, що можуть обумовлювати суперечливість та неспівпадіння результатів досліджень специфіки сприйняття часу дітьми певного віку. Зроблено висновок про перспективність інтеграції різних експериментальних даних щодо особливостей сприйняття часу дітьми різного віку та пошук психологічних і мозкових механізмів, що стоять за ними.
