Designing a polynomial regression experiment at researching into decision rules of signal recognition by modeling

The problem of getting working characteristics of signal recognition decision rules by statistical modeling with the aid of polynomial regression has been considered. Designs to minimize the average prediction variance of a regression function over a design region (Q-optimal) have been substantiated. The effectiveness of the developed methods has been illustrated by examples.
Improvement to approaches to the problem of Ethernet networks traffic modeling

In the present paper different approaches to the problem of Ethernet networks traffic modeling have been considered. The main focus is concentrated on the On/Off and ARFIMA models. A new method for estimating the average queue length in buffers of network devices that is necessary to serve traffic in accordance with the specified characteristics is offered.
